All I'm Here For
04:55
|
|||
Red lights
Healing
No pains
Awakening
Lost time
Driving
Bright room
Examining
Car crash
Knocked out
Bright moon
Saved me
I want to feel inside you
I want to hear your voice in
your head. It's all I'm here for.

A Maid Forsaken
05:51
|
|||
I was a maiden in a foreign land, had no money, had no king.
It was the fifth day of my traveling, I had no choice but stopping.
There was a light that came down from the sky, but there was nothing burning.
I made the sign of the cross and I got down on my knees.
I saw the shape of an angel over me in a beam of light,
Like something out of a prophet’s fever dream. I had the urge to hide.
I never thought of an angel as a thing that could be terrifying.
This was nothing that I could prepare for -- not an earthly being.
And I was paralyzed, and I saw my whole life
In its cold black eyes. I saw no holy light.
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
If you’re not here, I don’t know where else you could be.
On the road where God deserted me, fear had taken my heart.
What would this gray angel do to me?
I had visions of stars and suffering. I lost my place on the ground.
I heard thunder and electricity. I heard scratching crashing sounds.
(Shapes) and colors swirling all around. I was no longer home.
If the angel didn’t leave me soon, I would be gone.
And I was paralyzed, and I saw my whole life.
I watched as the future passed by, and I saw the stars first light.
My God, my God, this isn’t who I meant to be.
If I’m not here, I don’t know where else I can be.

Granger's Plan B
04:16
|
|||
It’s just something that I say so they don’t ask me to explain.
I’ve been working so hard, day and night, and so far, I’ve not lifted from this place/plane
If I’m not finished before long, I’ll have to execute Plan B.
I’ve been working so hard, day and night, and so far, there’s still nothing here to see.
Don’t look for me.
I’m not in here.
I’ve gone to space.
Not in the woods,
Nor in the lake.
I’ve gone to space.
You told me that you’d be here soon, but I won’t make it through the night.
I’ve been waiting so long. Years of faking won’t convince them anymore.
And I have nothing left to do except to execute Plan B.
I’ve been waiting so long. Years of faking took their toll on me.
Don’t look for me.
I’m not in here.
I’ve gone to space.
Not in the woods,
Nor in the lake.
I’ve gone to space.

Deep End of the Glen
04:37
|
|||
Six days, a week if we’re lucky.
Six days...not long to find out what went wrong.
What went wrong?
We laid plans aplenty.
We made our beds on land that was so strong.
What went wrong?
We’re hemmed in by mountains. We’re at the deep end of the glen.
We’re stuck here forever. None out, two in.
The moment they find us, they’re sure to take us in.
We cannot go with them. None out, two in.
I can’t remember the body.
I close my eyes. It’s there but then it’s gone.
Then you’re gone.
We had time in a bottle.
We’re young, but still, I guess we took too long.
What went so wrong?
We’re hemmed in by mountains. We’re at the deep end of the glen.
We’re stuck here forever. None out, two in.
The moment they find us, they’re sure to take us in.
We cannot go with them. None out, two in.

Black Birds
04:24
|
|||
Beneath the apple tree, we dug a hole.
We buried troubles there so they would grow in-
To a pair of great black birds, and night would come, and they would fly away.
If those black birds don’t fly, we’ll take them home.
I’ll nest them close to me until they grow so
Strong that they can lift me up to where the sky is falling far behind me.
Escape velocity is where we stand.
If you’re not up for me (into me), just take my hand and
Float into the place where sound and light and feelings find no purchase.
All there is is these black birds and you and me and apple trees
With buried treasures underneath them. Oh my god I think I’m dreaming.
I can’t trust these things I see and feel. I think that I’ve been taken
From my home to somewhere I don’t know.
The day they came for me, thought I was saved.
Thought I had everything. I thought I had it made. (Had it made.)
